Jennifer Juengel
Jenny grew up on a dairy farm in Michigan in the US and originally trained in animal sciences with an emphasis on reproductive physiology. She is a Principal Scientist in the Agricultural Systems and Reproduction team at AgResearch. Her research has focused on the elucidation of the basic mechanisms involved in the development, growth, maturation and health of the ovarian follicle to identify pathways that enhance reproductive efficiency in sheep and cattle. Recent work also aims to identify factors, including immune factors, that influence reproductive efficiency of the sheep flock as a whole. Jenny is an associate editor for Reproduction, Fertility and Development and has been a senior editor for Journal of Endocrinology and Journal of Molecular Endocrinology.
