Loretta White

Loretta White is a Senior Clinical Psychologist at Starship Hospital Consult Liaison Team (Auckland, New Zealand). She also works privately for Totally Psyched. Loretta works specifically for the Paediatric Congenital and Cardiac Service (PCCS) providing both assessment and therapeutic intervention and neuropsychological assessment for children under the PCCS team and their families. She is a UK trained Clinical Psychologist (University of Oxford) who has 13 years post qualification experience. In the UK she worked in three large Paediatric Psychology departments at the John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford), Chelsea and Westminster Hospital (London) and Addenbrooke’s Hospital (Cambridge) with a range of paediatric medical conditions, including diabetes. She also worked for 3.5 years in a University Wellbeing Service at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) in Japan. She moved to New Zealand in January 2022 and has worked at Starship since February 2022. Loretta has a special interest in trauma and is EMDR trained.
