Julie Klimek
Julie Klimek has been working at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW) since 2000 and is currently working as a Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialist CDE a position she has held since 2012.
Julie has a special interest in diabetes technologies and has been part of the Paediatric Diabetes Technology Group working with, Perth Children’s Hospital, Women’s and Children’s Hospital Adelaide, The Royal Children’s Hospital Victoria, and The John Hunter Children’s Hospital Newcastle in the role of Clinical Trials Coordinator for the Predictive Low Glucose Management (PLGM), Hybrid Closed loop (HCL), and the Advanced Hybrid Closed in home trials. She is also currently co-ordinating a trial of the Mylife CamAPS Ypsomed pump at CHW
Julie believes it is important to empower individuals and their families to successfully manage their diabetes to ensure they can live well and enjoy life to the fullest.
