Paul H Anderson

Paul H. Anderson is an Associate Research Professor in Physiology at Adelaide University and Theme Leader for Therapeutics in Musculoskeletal Disorders. He is also Director of the Bone Health Foundation, where he leads initiatives to support research, education, and translation in musculoskeletal health. His research focuses on vitamin D biology, bone metabolism, and translational strategies to improve skeletal health and repair. He leads a multidisciplinary program investigating the role of vitamin D signalling in cancer, particularly breast cancer metastasis to bone, and the development of novel therapeutic approaches targeting the tumour–bone microenvironment. In parallel, his work in biomaterials examines strategies to enhance implant integration and reduce infection risk, including the development and preclinical evaluation of anti-fouling surface coatings. He directs a preclinical bio-testing facility supporting academic and industry collaborations across orthopaedics and regenerative medicine. Paul serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and contributes to national research funding and strategy initiatives.
