Yassmin Musthaffa
Yassmin is
closely involved in the clinical care of children with Type 1 Diabetes while learning the language and
tools required to preserve pancreatic β-cell function, which is her main area of research interest. She
is currently working with a team to advance Antigen-specific immunotherapy in paediatric Type 1
Diabetes, as part of her PhD. She was the recipient of the APEG emerging investigator award in 2019 and presents the next chapter of this research on Wednesday morning. She is paediatric endocrinologist and is the clinical lead for Paediatric Diabetes Services within Logan Hospital. She will share thoughts about work-life balance as a clinician researcher at the ECR session on Tuesday lunchtime.
