Kay Yi Michelle Seah

I had obtained my PhD from Prof. Keith Jones' lab at the University of Newcastle and did a postdoc stint with Prof. Chris O'Neill at the Kolling Institute of Medical Research in Sydney before returning to Singapore. I am now a senior research fellow at Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, A*STAR, Singapore. My work is currently funded by my Career Development Award. Using genetic modifications and molecular tools, I study epigenetic reprogramming, oocyte-to-embryo transition and development in mouse. I also utilise high-resolution live embryo imaging to visualise and study in vivo localisation and functions of proteins of interest in the maturing oocyte and developing embryo.
