Ailsa Marshall
Ailsa Marshall is a Credentialed Paediatric Diabetes Educator and a Registered Nurse. She studied nursing in Aberdeen, Scotland and also completed a post graduate certificate, qualifying as a Registered Sick Children’s Nurse in Oxford at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Ailsa completed her Graduate Certificate of Diabetes Education through Deakin University and has been working in the field of paediatric diabetes for the last 7 years at Royal North Shore Hospital Sydney in the Paediatric Endocrine department. Her paediatric experience over the years has included Neurology, Cardiology and General medicine fields. She was also employed for 5 years in the clinical setting as a Clinical Nurse Educator on general paediatric wards in the North Shore Local Health District, Sydney. Ailsa is particularly focused on family and person centred care. She advocates strongly for children, young adults and their families when navigating a complex and multifaceted health service. She provides expertise and information on current diabetes technologies and care, working in partnership with the families and children who are living with Type 1 diabetes
