Fiona KM Cheung

Fiona is a PhD candidate from Associate Professor Josephine Bowles’ Lab at the University of Queensland. Her PhD research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying meiosis onset and progression in fetal ovarian germ cells in vivo using the mouse model. Her areas of investigation include BMP signalling in fetal ovaries, sex chromosome composition of germ cells, and transcription factor regulation during mitosis-to-meiosis transition.
