Michele A O'Connell
o Dr Michele O’Connell is a Paediatric Endocrinologist at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne and honorary research fellow at MCRI. She is the clinical lead for endocrinology on the RCH DSD multidisciplinary team and endocrinologist to the RCH Gender Service. Michele has >30 peer-reviewed publications and is a co-author and editor of the second edition of the textbook ‘Disorders/Differences of Sex Development: An integrated approach to management’. She is the current co-chair of the Australasian Paediatric Endocrine Group DSD subcommittee and has a number of clinical research collaborations in DSD with colleagues from around Australia. Michele is also the APEG representative on the steering committee of the international DSD (iDSD) registry that aims to collect standardised longitudinal information and facilitate international research collaborations to improve understanding of conditions affecting sex development.
